Pupil Premium Statement 2017-18

Pupil Premium is a funding pot from the Government which is issued to schools to help provide for disadvantaged children to ensure that they make the best progress they can.

At Glebeland in 2017-18 we plan to use this money in the following ways:

  • Atlas and Dictionary Packs to loan (Year 6)
  • Subsidising school trips to ensure that all children participate and benefit from these experiences
  • After school clubs/music lessons may be funded to develop extra curricular talents, social interaction and self confidence
  • Additional support in classroom/intervention groups for pupils identified as at risk of falling behind.
  • Continue to fund 1:1 counselling for named child
  • SATs booster sessions
  • Subsidised Fruit Tuck shop

Pupil Premium is generated through numbers of children on low income who apply for Free School Meals.  Parents are encouraged to ask at the school office for confidential advice on making an application for free school meals so that this funding can be accessed.

A detailed report on how the Pupil Premium Funding, allocated to Glebeland last year, was spent can be accessed by clicking the icons above.
